Job Title: Practitioner Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Practitioner Psychologist to join our team at With You. As a registered HCPC Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality recovery care to individuals affected by substance use and mental health issues.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based psychological interventions and supporting frontline staff to improve their psychosocial interventions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide specialist caseload support to service users with co-existing substance use and mental health needs, including trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to service users with complex needs
  • Support and supervise frontline staff to improve their psychosocial interventions
  • Liaise with referrers, GPs, and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Hold a specialist caseload of service users with co-existing substance use and mental health needs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of trauma-informed care approaches
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (BPS accredited)
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and evidence of continuing professional development
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a qualified practitioner psychologist under supervision for a minimum of 1 year
  • Post-qualification experience in psychological assessment and treatment of service users with complex needs
  • Experience of working with people affected by trauma
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills
  • Knowledge of legislation related to the service user group, including mental health issues and safeguarding
