Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - SEN School

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits)

Hours: 32 hours per week (flexible)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team at a large SEN school. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessments and design individualized plans and strategies for students
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and write reports
  • Conduct multi-professional reviews and provide advice, information, and training to staff, parents, and other agencies
  • Work closely with the SENDCo, SLT, Pastoral Leads, Teachers, and young people to promote the well-being and best interests of students

Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered practitioner psychologist of clinical, educational, or counseling
  • Previous experience working with children in special educational needs/mental health settings
  • Good understanding of ethical principles and ability to apply psychological theories to interventions
  • Ability to adapt communication to work with young people, professionals, and families
  • Confident working in a team and independently, with a willingness to accept and use supervision effectively
