Overview:


The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Special Vehicles division, which focuses on delivering tailored upfit solutions to enhance client productivity.

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer specializing in the Vehicle Integration Systems product.


This role involves assisting the Special Vehicles Teams and converters by creating comprehensive support documentation and refining support processes for the Vehicle Integration System.

Collaboration with our Engineering Team and Vehicle Conversion Advisory Service will be essential to provide direct technical assistance to converters addressing their inquiries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and verify the functionality of the Vehicle Integration System Logic Tool concerning Logic Blocks and vehicle features. This will require a combination of reviewing existing documentation and validating findings on vehicles or simulators.
  • Create user-friendly help documentation that explains the fundamental workings of the logic tool, including technical manuals and instructional videos (on-camera presence or voice recording is not required).
  • Develop application examples that illustrate how converters can utilize the tool to fulfill their specific needs, with guidance from the Engineering Team.
  • Collaborate with our client's Intelligence Software Team and Tech Team to incorporate help resources into the Logic Tool and online platforms.
  • Partner with the Vehicle Conversion Advisory Service (VCAS) Team and our client's Tech Team to ensure that examples are accessible to converters and to educate the VCAS Team on available resources.
  • There may be opportunities to conduct training sessions on the Vehicle Integration System product across Europe, depending on the candidate's expertise.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in technical writing.
  • Basic understanding of programming principles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with video screen capture and editing.
  • Familiarity with electrical integration in vehicle conversions.

Experience:

  • Significant experience in the Automotive Industry.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in the converted vehicle sector.
  • Proven experience in creating technical support documentation.
  • Familiarity with programming support resources such as Stack Overflow.

Education:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.

Additional Information:
No travel is required. The role involves 2 days a week in the office. This position is INSIDE IR35.
