Key Responsibilities:- Support the design and development of specific powertrain components, ensuring they meet performance, durability, and cost requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in powertrain integration or component performance.
- Work closely with the Design Engineering Team and the Packaging Team to specify and design powertrain sub-systems and components.
- Manage tasks with design and project engineering support within the powertrain team.
- Liaise with suppliers to supply parts to internally developed specifications and designs.
- Support the testing and validation activities, ensuring components function reliably under different conditions.
- An Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Experience in the design and development of one or more major powertrain components or systems (Exhaust, Cooling, Fuel, Driveline, Air Intake, Axles, etc.).
- Strong understanding of DVPs, FMEAs, and Test and Validation procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage suppliers.
- A positive attitude towards learning, improvement, and teamwork.
