Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

About the Role

Imperva is a leading cybersecurity company seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Network Automation Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and building the infrastructure that will enable our next-generation Network Automation platform.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Network Automation Team to develop and deploy infrastructure supporting our new automation platform.
  2. Establish data-driven metrics to optimize availability, reliability, and velocity.
  3. Design and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for network and system performance.
  4. Proactively analyze data and test the integrity of network and systems to ensure optimal production application and service performance.

Requirements

  1. At least 3 years of experience in cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure.
  2. Proficiency in Python and Go programming languages, with C/C++ experience a plus.
  3. Expert knowledge of Linux systems, network programming, and protocols TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP.
  4. Experience with DevOps principles and concepts such as Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Saltstack), CI/CD (Gitlab, Jenkins, Git), monitoring, and visualization (Prometheus, Grafana).
  5. Experience with big data technologies such as NoSQL/RDBMS, Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka.
  6. Experience analyzing and building data telemetry, modeling, pipelines, and UI visualization.
  7. Experience in developing software, troubleshooting, and monitoring large-scale distributed systems.
  8. Implement software engineering best practices and standards.
  9. Working knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodologies.
  10. BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
