Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Yunex Traffic.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality products and contributing to the lifecycle of our mechanical systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the successful design, integration, testing, and maintenance of our products.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Utilize 3D CAD design tools, such as Autodesk Inventor, to develop and refine designs.
- Conduct and document mechanical design calculations using manual and computational techniques, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in your designs, considering factors such as manufacturing techniques, fabrication, sheet metal, and plastic injection molding.
- Apply your knowledge of designing for demanding requirements, including Ingress Protection and wind-loading.
- Collaborate with internal and external design teams to understand requirements and develop optimized design solutions.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Non-Essential but Useful:
- Appreciation of electronic and electrical systems.
- Experience in mechanical testing for validation.
- Familiarity with standards such as BS EN 1991-1-4, BS EN40, TSRGD, and DMRB.
