Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Yunex Traffic.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality products and contributing to the lifecycle of our mechanical systems, from design to testing and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Utilize 3D CAD design tools, such as Autodesk Inventor, to develop innovative designs.
- Conduct and document mechanical design calculations using manual and computational techniques, including Finite Element Analysis.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in your designs, considering factors such as manufacturing techniques and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure design solutions meet demanding requirements.
- Familiarity with designing for outdoor equipment, including Ingress protection and wind-loading.
- Apply your strong understanding of manufacturing techniques, including fabrication, sheet metal, and plastic injection moulding.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Non-Essential but Useful:
- Appreciation of electronic and electrical systems.
- Experience in mechanical testing for validation.
- Familiarity with standards such as BS EN 1991-1-4, BS EN40, TSRGD, and DMRB.
