Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Associate Planning Director to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects, managing planning applications, and developing the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Take the lead on projects, working closely with our Directors to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Development Management: Manage development projects, including plan/policy work, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Planning Applications: Manage planning applications for various scale projects, ensuring timely submission and successful outcomes.
  • Planning Appeal Management: Manage planning appeals, representing our clients' interests and ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Local Plan Representations: Represent our clients' interests in local plan examinations and site promotion.
  • Public Inquiry Work: Participate in public inquiries, representing our clients' interests and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Team Development: Assist in mentoring and developing the wider team, ensuring their growth and success.
  • Client Relations: Manage client relations and expectations, including new business development and expanding existing relationships.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience post-qualification in the private or public sector.
  • Qualifications: Degree qualified in Town Planning or a similar field.
  • Membership: RTPI membership is essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills and a full driving license.
