About the Role

Ecclesiastical Insurance Group is seeking a Product Owner to join our Technology Analysis and Product (TAP) Team in Gloucester. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for delivering high-value features and working closely with the development team, UX/UI designers, and other departments to ensure successful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Roadmap Management: Develop and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with the product vision and strategy.
  • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, defining user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring their needs are considered in the product development process.
  • Sprint Planning and Review: Participate in sprint planning meetings to help the team understand the requirements and priorities, reviewing and accepting completed user stories to ensure they meet the acceptance criteria.
  • Research: Conduct research to understand customer needs and market trends, analyzing user feedback and data to inform product decisions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, UX/UI designers, and other departments to ensure successful product delivery, facilitating communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the product development process, staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Strong Agile and Scrum experience with a thorough understanding of the Product Owner role.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Expertise in balancing and managing conflicting stakeholder needs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with product management tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles.
  • Understanding of software development processes and technologies.
  • Insight into the insurance industry, even if gained through different roles.
  • Certified Product Owner credentials.
