Product Development Manager

As a Product Development Manager at Roke, you will be responsible for leading product development projects to exceed customer expectations. You will engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and coordination of trial-stage activities from simulation demonstrators to live field trial events.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Unit Leadership Team, Client Management, and central business functions to deliver projects on schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Create trusted and enduring relationships with clients, building value for both the customer and Roke.
  • Identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks and issues associated with bid processes and project delivery.
  • Support and lead bids with confidence, demonstrating that schedule, cost, and quality factors are fully considered.
  • Report and forecast accurately against key performance measures and indicators.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading projects with a product development lifecycle.
  • Overseen trial events from planning through to hands-on testing and demonstrations.
  • Managed engineering teams that develop novel solutions, ideally with a software element.
  • Experience managing hardware suppliers.
  • Successfully delivered bids and contracts to target schedule, cost, and quality levels.
  • Provided timely and accurate forecast information and project reporting.

Desirable:

  • Experience of agile software delivery.
  • Experience of or exposure to software delivery within a product environment.
  • Knowledge of drones and C-UAS.
  • Defence and Law Enforcement experience.
