About Us:
Pops Facades specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of various Curtain walling, Cladding, and Glazing systems, ranging from unitized solutions to bespoke, complex facade systems.


Position Overview:


The Lead Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects from the tendering phase through to project delivery, ensuring that our commercial strategies align with the business objectives.

This role will primarily be based in our office, with occasional site visits as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the tendering process and project accounting.
  • Take full responsibility for the commercial administration of the company.
  • Conduct thorough commercial and contractual reviews of tenders, suggesting amendments and negotiating to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Administer contracts and manage projects from a commercial perspective.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports and manage costs to completion.
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly claims and oversee credit control.
  • Handle claims preparation, final account negotiations, and settlements.
  • Enhance and govern commercial, project accounting, and credit control systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality assurance, administration, and compliance with accreditations.

Performance Metrics:
  • Tendering success rates and margin projections.
  • Cash collection efficiency and days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Effective contract administration and management of business risks.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Essential:
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • A customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive contractual knowledge across various contract conditions.
  • Proficient IT skills and familiarity with relevant software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and networking abilities, capable of effective communication at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a busy workload and meet deadlines.

Desirable:
  • Membership in RICS or a relevant professional body, or actively pursuing such membership.
