Job Overview

Pops Facades is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team as we embark on several high-profile projects in the North West. About Us:
Pops Facades specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of various Curtain walling, Cladding, and Glazing systems, ranging from unitized to intricate custom facade solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Management:

  • Oversee all commercial activities from tendering through to project completion.
  • Conduct thorough commercial and contractual evaluations of tenders, recommending adjustments and negotiating to minimize risks.
  • Administer contracts and manage the financial aspects of projects.
Reporting Duties:
  • Perform monthly assessments of contract performance and results.
  • Manage project costs and provide regular updates on cost-to-complete and CVRs.
Valuation and Cash Flow Management:
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly claims and maintain effective credit control.
  • Handle claims preparation, final account negotiations, and settlements.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Enhance the underlying commercial and project accounting systems.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
General Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality assurance, administrative compliance, and maintain necessary accreditations.
Performance Metrics:
  • Monitor tender success rates, margin projections, and backlog sales.
  • Track cash collection efficiency and days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Manage contract administration and business risk effectively.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Essential:
  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proactive, customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive contractual knowledge across various contract types.
  • Proficient IT skills and familiarity with relevant software applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and networking abilities, capable of effective communication at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
  • Membership in RICS or a related professional organization, or actively pursuing membership.
