Job Description

Purpose and Scope

Zest is seeking a highly skilled Bid Analysis Manager to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all bid activity, ensuring timely and successful bid responses to proposals and tenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate bid activity, ensuring bids are submitted on time and in line with the bid cycle
  • Contribute to the bid qualification process, ensuring bids align with business strategy
  • Assemble and manage virtual bid teams to prepare winning bids, including identification of value proposition
  • Lead and manage multi-functional stakeholders to meet bid timeframes
  • Develop and manage bid management plans, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Produce high-scoring proposal content that articulates the benefits of our solution to meet client needs
  • Ensure bid management tools support comprehensive and timely bids
  • Provide regular updates on bids in progress to the Head of Bid and CDO
  • Support Bid Writers with submissions, including storyboarding and feedback on written quality responses
  • Support the Head of Bid with training and development of the Bid team
  • Write and check drafts for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting
  • Attend business review meetings, including quarterly market review meetings
  • Engage with sales team members and the wider business to ensure thorough and compelling bids
  • Work with the Head of Bid to manage resources and timelines to ensure early identification of potential conflicts with bid timetables
  • Support the Head of Bid with reporting on key metrics and targets
  • Communicate issues and partner with team members to address them ahead of time
  • Ensure bids are progressed in line with appropriate governance processes

  • Internal – Chief Development Officer, Head of Bid, Senior Bid Manager, Bid Writers, Public Sector BDMs, Project Coordinator, Marketing Manager, Finance Director, CTO, CEO, Technical Director, and Operations Director
  • External – Procurement officers, Directors of Service, Senior Managers, Sustainability/Environmental Leads, Public and Private Sector bodies
