Job Title: Head of Income Generation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Income Generation to join our Senior Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving income generation, building an understanding across the organisation of the need for successful commercial projects, and setting ambitious income targets for Enterprise and Learning services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and build positive working relationships across the organisation, and externally.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations across front-line projects, bringing stability and resilience, enabling any growth and improvement that may be required to deliver on our strategic objectives.
  • Drive income generation, building an understanding across the organisation of the need for successful commercial projects.
  • Set ambitious income targets for Enterprise and Learning services, identifying market gaps and trends, delivering sustainable commercial ventures that are both financially and environmentally sustainable.
  • Contribute to the regular review of the needs within Space services, planning and delivering the implementation of any new business opportunities across the organisation.
  • Work with the CEO and the wider Management Team to deliver the organisation-wide strategy for Space.
  • Contribute to the continual review and delivery of the organisation's Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments, and Risk Management Strategy.
  • Ensure efficient reporting systems are in place for accurate data gathering to enable informed decision-making.
  • Ensure Enterprise and Learning services meet all statutory and regulatory requirements as a charity, company, and service provider.
  • Ensure that all data is kept and processed securely and in line with Data Protection Act and GDPR.
  • Ensure Space is appropriately represented across all relevant networks, partnerships, and collaborations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role, with strong leadership skills working across a range of complex issues to develop and deliver effective policy and strategy.
  • Awareness and understanding of the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and the impact on women, children, and young people.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the UK and Scottish policy and legislative context in relation to violence against women and children and domestic abuse in Scotland, and the environment in which SWA operates, including the opportunities and risks it faces.
  • Experience of leading, supporting, and managing teams and of providing line management of staff, including the supervision and quality assurance of policy work.
  • Excellent written skills, demonstrable track record of leading research, analysis, and development of government public policy reports, consultation responses, briefings, and advocacy materials.
  • Communications experience, skilled in the ability to engage confidently with a range of different audiences, building and maintaining alliances with key stakeholders, and speaking with government ministers, MPs/MSPs, to committees, and at events.
