Job Title: Head of Leadership Development

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Leadership Development Programme, which aims to equip children, young people, and young adults with skills, experience, training, and qualifications to increase their self-esteem, confidence, and future employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the Leadership Development Programme, working closely with the Leadership Team to clarify objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead the delivery of programme elements, including sessions, residentials, and gatherings, ensuring integration and delivery in each zone.
  • Equip the Sport and Faith Team for programme delivery, designing and delivering training, and supporting team members in session delivery and observation.
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders, including churches, schools, leaders, and community organisations, to enhance programme development, quality, and outcomes.
  • Explore and develop partnership opportunities to enhance programme development, quality, delivery, funding, and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Educated to A-level, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (Sport and Physical Activity) or similar qualification, or willingness to undertake this post-appointment.
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or similar qualification, or willingness to undertake this post-appointment.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, developing leaders, and sharing Jesus with those not of a faith background.
  • Strong people skills, planning, organising, prioritising, meeting deadlines, and reporting effectively on work undertaken.
Personal Qualities:
  • Creative, motivated, and confident, with a strong ability to inspire trust and confidence in others.
  • Demonstrates initiative and perseverance, taking personal responsibility for professional and spiritual growth.
  • Able to operate as a reflective practitioner and to share learning with others.
