Position Overview: Our client is seeking a dedicated Children's Safeguarding Nurse Consultant to enhance their team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver expert child protection guidance, support, and training to personnel within the Children's Health sector.
  • Facilitate a thorough liaison service for children under 19 and their families, ensuring seamless care continuity and proposing suitable service enhancements.
  • Offer specialized advice and insights on child protection matters to staff, working in conjunction with other safeguarding leaders and members of the Children and Young People’s Services (CYPS) team to uphold safety and service quality.
  • Establish and nurture effective communication channels with multi-agency partners to foster collaboration, advocating for children's welfare, including Early Help Coordinators and other key figures involved in the Team Around the Child and Neighbourhood Action Meetings.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Health Visitor or School Nurse, holding a valid NMC Pin.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and child protection practices.
  • Experience in supervising both qualified and unqualified staff.

Contract Details: This is an initial contract with the potential for extension, operating Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.
