Job Overview:

Oculus Legal Group is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join its Housing Management and Property Litigation Team. The successful candidate will support Solicitors and handle their own caseload, providing exceptional support to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Solicitors in managing files and caseloads.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including claim forms, pleadings, and witness statements.
  • Handle multiple case deadlines efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare trial bundles and liaise with the Court to ensure smooth proceedings.
  • Conduct routine advocacy in County Court, representing the firm with confidence and professionalism.
  • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date files, ensuring seamless access to information.
  • Occasionally undertake site visits to gather information and support the team.

Requirements:

  • Law degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills, with the ability to analyze complex information.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities, with a focus on customer service and time management.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Customer service oriented, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LPC qualification.
  • Experience working with Registered Providers or private landlords.
  • Familiarity with County Court procedures and DMS systems.
