Materials Planner

Premium Food Manufacturing

  • Job Summary
  • As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that materials and packaging are available to meet demand through effective ordering and inventory control processes.
  • The Company
  • A UK leading food manufacturer that produces household food favourites, sold in every major supermarket and consisting of No1 UK brands.
  • The Role
  • Situated within an established and busy planning team, you will liaise with internal and external parties, including suppliers and hauliers, to maintain high levels of service efficiently and cost-effectively.
    • Key Responsibilities
    • Manage supplier relationships, stock control, and stock investigations.
    • Ensure forecast information is accurate, update daily systems, and maintain Master data in Excel.
    • Place orders with suppliers, scheduling deliveries to meet production demand.
    • Utilize department KPIs to identify resource stock levels, minimize waste, and redundant stock write-offs.
    • Collaborate with NPD to ensure future demand is met for launches and promotions.
  • Your Skills & Experience
  • To be considered for this role, you will need excellent communication skills, a team player attitude, and previous planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Requirements
    • Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
    • Confident Excel skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • High levels of numeracy and literacy.
