Role Overview

A unique opportunity has arisen for a skilled occupational expert from the automotive sector to join our dynamic team in delivering and designing technical training to the Toyota/Lexus networks of Vehicle Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver the skills, knowledge, and behavioural components of the automotive certification from Level 2 to Level 4 and above.
  2. Develop and update training materials and courses.
  3. Maintain safe learning environments, effectively promoting Health and Safety.
  4. Occasionally travel to Europe for train-the-trainer sessions.
  5. Feed back results of practical and theoretical assessments.
  6. Support and mentor apprentices to ensure each reaches their maximum potential.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
  8. Contribute to the implementation of continual improvement.
  9. Participate in internal and external quality audits, including observations of teaching and learning, matrix assessment, and Ofsted inspections.
  10. Attend staff meetings and forums and contribute to specific development projects.
  11. Keep up to date with technical and academic knowledge.
  12. Undertake all other duties as may be reasonably required.
About You

We are looking for an individual with:

  1. Appropriate level of occupational technical competence.
  2. Up-to-date technical expertise, practical skills, and knowledge within an automotive environment.
  3. Either possess or be willing to work towards an approved Level 3 teaching qualification.
  4. Full driving licence holder.
  5. English and maths to at least Level 2.

Desirable qualifications include:

  1. L3 or above teaching qualification.
  2. Assessment and Quality Assurance, F Gas or Hybrid qualifications.
  3. Experience of the development of training materials.
  4. Experience of delivering feedback on progress and identifying ways to continually improve.
  5. General understanding of training programmes.
