A unique opportunity has arisen for a skilled occupational expert from the automotive sector to join our dynamic team in delivering and designing technical training to the Toyota/Lexus networks of Vehicle Technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the skills, knowledge, and behavioural components of the automotive certification from Level 2 to Level 4 and above.
- Develop and update training materials and courses.
- Maintain safe learning environments, effectively promoting Health and Safety.
- Occasionally travel to Europe for train-the-trainer sessions.
- Feed back results of practical and theoretical assessments.
- Support and mentor apprentices to ensure each reaches their maximum potential.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
- Contribute to the implementation of continual improvement.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, including observations of teaching and learning, matrix assessment, and Ofsted inspections.
- Attend staff meetings and forums and contribute to specific development projects.
- Keep up to date with technical and academic knowledge.
- Undertake all other duties as may be reasonably required.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Appropriate level of occupational technical competence.
- Up-to-date technical expertise, practical skills, and knowledge within an automotive environment.
- Either possess or be willing to work towards an approved Level 3 teaching qualification.
- Full driving licence holder.
- English and maths to at least Level 2.
Desirable qualifications include:
- L3 or above teaching qualification.
- Assessment and Quality Assurance, F Gas or Hybrid qualifications.
- Experience of the development of training materials.
- Experience of delivering feedback on progress and identifying ways to continually improve.
- General understanding of training programmes.
