Job Title: Automotive Technical Trainer

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Trainer to join our team at Toyota's Training Academy in Burnaston, Derby. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our vehicle technicians, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global vehicle brand, delivering training programs that meet the highest standards of quality and excellence. As an Automotive Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering training materials and courses
  • Maintaining safe learning environments and promoting Health and Safety
  • Occasionally traveling to Europe for train-the-trainer sessions
  • Feeding back results of practical and theoretical assessments
  • Supporting and mentoring apprentices to ensure they reach their maximum potential
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records
  • Contributing to the implementation of continual improvement
  • Participating in internal and external quality audits
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Appropriate level of occupational technical competence
  • Up-to-date technical expertise, practical skills, and knowledge within an automotive environment
  • A teaching qualification (either possessed or willing to work towards an approved Level 3 qualification)
  • A full driving license
  • English and maths to at least Level 2
