As an Information Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the provision of current records management policy, procedures, and guidance, in line with the legal and regulatory framework.
- Lead on the expansion and development of volunteer Records & Information Management Coordinators across the organisation.
- Improve the current level of awareness and understanding of records management practices across NHSE through provision of records management advice.
- Lead on the design, and provision of records management training across the organisation.
- Support the development of a new EDRMS for the organisation.
NHS England is committed to delivering high-quality services for all. We are looking for an experienced Information Governance Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Requirements- Post-graduate degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
- Knowledge of the ISO15489 records management standard.
- Knowledge of complex information systems and management.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of working within the specialist profession of records management.
- Knowledge of the legislative requirements including data protection and the Records management Code of Practice 2021.
- Knowledge of NHS Information Governance and the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
