At Veolia, we are dedicated to improving resource management and environmental sustainability. We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team consisting of 4 Team Leaders, 3 Senior Mobile Plant Operatives, and 4 Mobile Plant Operatives.
- Ensure contractor monitoring is effectively executed and that contractor RAMS are current.
- Manage Mobile Plant maintenance, ensuring all LOLERS are documented and any identified faults are addressed promptly.
- Supervise all site activities, including traffic management protocols.
- Deliver new Toolbox talks and safety alerts to the team.
- Coordinate with Transport to optimize routing and vehicle utilization, ensuring compliance with permitted storage tonnages.
- Guarantee that all site maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with servicing, repairs, and compliance standards.
- Complete Permit to Work documentation to ensure proper execution of tasks.
- Maintain up-to-date Risk Assessments (RAs) and COSHH data sheets.
- Conduct probation reviews, track absences, and manage holiday requests.
- Ensure routine checks and servicing of alarms, fire extinguishers, PAT testing, diesel tank inspections, and fire pumps.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in team management is essential.
- A motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A valid UK driving license is required.
- Relevant qualifications such as COTC TSH4/NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent are preferred.
