We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Waking Night Support Coach to join our team at New Start, a family-run, not-for-profit organisation delivering homelessness projects and temporary housing solutions across Merseyside.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a strengths-based service, empowering individuals to thrive and develop, gain independence, and succeed in a more permanent housing solution.
- Complete Health & Safety checks and manage incidents that may occur during the evening.
- Oversee the safety and security of residents, crash bed users, and the building.
- Undertake administrative tasks as requested by support workers or management.
- Keep accurate records of incidents, case management, and administrative tasks.
- Resilient and empathetic individual with a can-do attitude.
- Desire to learn and develop skills, knowledge, and career aspirations.
- Genuine care and commitment to supporting individuals to turn their lives around.
- Understanding of the challenges vulnerable adults face, including homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, and offending.
- Demonstrable experience in a waking nights post, supporting outreach services, or within a hostel setting.
- Experience in completing risk assessments and incident management/reports to a high standard.
- Studied up to NVQ Level 3 in Housing/Health and Social Care or working towards this qualification.
