Join Our Team as a Support Worker

We are seeking compassionate and caring individuals to join our team as Support Workers at Orbis Education and Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to adults with complex needs associated with autism.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the physical and emotional needs of our residents are met through a supportive and caring environment. You will work closely with our team to provide tailored support, promoting independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the physical and emotional needs of our residents are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Support our residents during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our residents, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
  • Work together with the team to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Keep accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents.
  • Contribute to general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.
Requirements

We are looking for individuals who possess a compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships. Resilience and patience are essential when faced with challenges, and you will need to adapt to individual needs.

A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team is also essential. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are required. A driving license is not essential but would be advantageous.

Please note that this role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
