About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Support Worker at Awel y Mor, a welcoming detached home designed for adults aged 18 and over. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional needs of our residents are met through a supportive and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support our residents during recreational activities, outings, and community integration;
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our residents, celebrating their achievements and milestones;
  • Work together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs;
  • Keep accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise;
  • General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation;

Requirements

  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships;
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs;
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team;
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes;
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts;
