Command Recruitment is seeking a seasoned and sophisticated General Manager / Regional Business Director to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic and expanding automotive dealership network. In this capacity, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a substantial team across multiple used car dealerships located in the southern region of England. The sites are distributed across various locations, necessitating travel between them.
With ambitious growth plans set for the near future, this role presents an exciting opportunity for professional development and increased responsibilities.
This organization offers a diverse range of vehicles, catering to a wide customer base. It is an excellent chance to work in a collaborative environment with top-tier colleagues, providing a comprehensive selection of brands, makes, and models.
Key Attributes:
- A proven history of achieving results in a fast-paced, high-volume automotive business.
- Strong background in used vehicle sales, preferably from a used car supermarket.
- Ability to lead by example and inspire a large team to deliver exceptional performance.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on service excellence.
- Proficient in computer systems and software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-driven and motivated individual.
- Experience with aftersales or service departments is advantageous but not mandatory.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a cohesive team, overseeing approximately 300 staff members.
- Maximize the potential of each dealership by establishing ambitious objectives and providing consistent performance feedback to site managers.
- Ensure compliance with all customer experience obligations.
- Report on site performance to senior management.
- Innovate new strategies and techniques to motivate the team.
- Coordinate the aftersales/service operations in collaboration with the operations director.
Working Schedule:
Your work schedule will include a combination of weekends and weekdays, primarily consisting of long shifts, typically 4 to 5 days per week. The dealership operates until late, offering significant earning potential.
An extensive in-house training program will be required initially, involving travel to various business locations to assimilate the company culture and processes. All related expenses will be covered by the company.
