We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Age UK in Harrogate. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Store Manager and leading a team of Sales Assistants and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement retail strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers and staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering and receiving stock, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Store Manager and other team members to achieve business objectives.
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to use retail software and systems.
