Assistant Store Manager Opportunity

Age UK is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Harrogate. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Store Manager in all aspects of the business, ensuring excellent customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction
  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers and staff to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Manage stock levels, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and ensure efficient operations
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues promptly
Requirements:
  • Proven retail experience, with a strong background in customer service and team leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills, with experience using retail software and systems
