Overview of the Position

Become a part of the Atlas Workplace Services Team as a Mobile Facilities Technician

Are you proficient and committed to upholding exceptional standards while ensuring efficient operations across various client locations?

In this vital position, you will carry out mandatory and scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and swiftly resolve urgent maintenance concerns, ensuring strict compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to uphold our quality benchmarks.

We are looking for a Facilities Technician who excels in delivering high-quality scheduled maintenance and responsive repairs, with a strong focus on compliance with preventive maintenance across multiple disciplines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote Engineering Excellence: Maintain Atlas Workplace Services' high standards and skills to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Take Charge of Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance tasks, including L8 compliance activities, with careful attention to detail.
  • Serve as a Communication Liaison: Keep clients and the team updated with proactive feedback to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide Outstanding Service: Aim for complete customer satisfaction through a quality-focused approach to service delivery.
  • Optimize Resources: Effectively manage resources and offer precise estimates for minor projects to deliver maximum value to clients.
  • Ensure Safety and Efficiency: Report on task performance to your Technical Service Manager and guarantee safe, efficient execution, including by service partners.
  • Encourage Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with Account Support, Schedulers, Technical Service Managers, and Sub-Contractors to meet SLAs and foster strong relationships.
  • Master System Oversight: Keep the Maximo CAFM system updated and accurate using your tablet, diligently recording all time on Work Order timesheets. Show commitment through exceptional service delivery and management of out-of-hours call-outs as necessary.
Candidate Profile Minimum Qualifications, Certifications, and Training Required
  • GCSE in English and Maths or Equivalent
  • Legionella (L8) trained and competent (Desirable)
  • Accredited Health and Safety qualification e.g. IOSH Working Safely or equivalent (Desirable)
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience for this Role
  • 2 years of prior experience in a similar environment, particularly across multiple sites and multi-discipline service delivery.
  • 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Background in mobile engineering or property maintenance.
  • Good understanding of modern office software. Experience with asset/work management systems such as MAXIMO / CAFM systems on Android tablets.
  • Strong, demonstrable skills in building services trades and the ability to perform various tasks within a building maintenance context.
  • Experience in conducting minor drainage works.
  • Experience in delivering L8 compliance maintenance.
