Key Responsibilities:
- Manage databases and undertake a range of tasks to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the finance functions.
- Provide statistical reports in accordance with agreed procedures and national guidelines and codes of practice.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of one or more core functions within the environmental & trading standards service.
- Identify and implement best practices, legislative changes, and other developments in community safety and related disciplines.
- Produce high-quality information for reports on performance and quality.
- Take proactive remedial action to ensure changing priorities and circumstances are managed, targets and standards met, and value and performance optimized.
- Write clear and concise reports, standard and non-standard correspondence as necessary.
- Log, coordinate, and manage responses to member inquiries, freedom of information requests, and other stakeholder communications within given timeframes.
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve service complaints and/or enquiries, ensuring thorough investigations and necessary actions are taken.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Support Officer or similar role.
- Proficiency in using Civica System (APP) and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of Licensing Act 2003 and processing applications.
