Optical Manager

Job Summary

As a key member of the Asda Opticians team, the Optical Manager will oversee the entire operation, ensuring high-quality patient service and driving department targets. This fast-paced role requires strong leadership skills, excellent customer care, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Optometrists and Optical assistants, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Oversee compliance processes and procedures, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Review sales forecasting and department targets, driving business growth.
  • Deal with customer queries, providing exceptional service.
  • Manage clinic operations and shop floor processes, ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Work closely with an Optometrist to develop and implement strategies for team growth and development.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC.
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD.
  • Confident in coaching others.
  • Able to provide excellent customer and patient care.
  • Driven and ambitious to ensure department targets are met.
  • Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced Optics environment.
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively.
