Job Title: Statement Taker

Adecco is seeking a skilled Statement Taker to join our team at Brighton John Street Police Station. As a Statement Taker, you will play a crucial role in supporting investigating officers with statement taking and tasks such as seizing and collecting CCTV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take statements from witnesses and victims in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Upload digital and documentary evidence to police IT and other partner agency platforms as required.
  • Support investigating officers with tasks such as seizing and collecting CCTV.
  • Work in a busy office environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment, using your own initiative.
  • Good communication skills, responding to correspondence and enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Experience of working in a team and with Microsoft programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proficient experience of working with data protection and GDPR guidelines.
