Statement Taker

Adecco is seeking a skilled Statement Taker to join our team at Sussex Police. As a key member of the Response Team at Brighton John Street Police Station, you will play a vital role in supporting investigating officers with statement taking and tasks such as seizing and collecting CCTV.
Key Responsibilities:- Work in a busy office environment, using your own initiative to methodically and accurately complete tasks.
- Upload digital and documentary evidence to police IT and other partner agency platforms as required.
- Collaborate with a team to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, responding to correspondence and enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a pressurized environment.
- Proficient experience of working with Microsoft programmes such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Able to produce clear, legible, and accurate statements.
- Personal resilience to handle difficult or distressing witnesses.
This is a Monday to Friday role with a start time after 0800 hours, with flexibility to work evenings when needed. You will be required to pass a check drive to drive fleet cars and may be required to attend court to account for actions undertaken to generate exhibits.
