Job Summary

CABI is seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Manager to oversee the organization's new financial system. This critical role requires a strong interface between the IT and Finance teams, with a fixed reporting line into the Finance Director and a strong link into the IT organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic roadmap and continuous development and ongoing improvement of the ERP system.
  • Ensure the finance system aligns with the organization's strategic goals and business processes.
  • Review and update systems and reporting requirements with key business trends and best practices.

System Implementation and Maintenance:

  • Oversee the ongoing implementation of new finance systems or modules.
  • Coordinate and manage system upgrades and patches.
  • Work with IT to manage data migration and integration between systems.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide front-end technical support to finance users and be the primary point of contact within CABI for interaction with our finance platform vendor.
  • Develop and deliver training for finance staff and department superusers of the finance system.
  • Manage change associated with system upgrades or implementations.

Process Improvement and Automation:

  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes through system enhancements.
  • Implement automation solutions to streamline financial operations.
  • Maintain the effectiveness of information streams by seeking feedback from key finance and organizational users on the relevance and use of reports or reporting structures.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure the security and integrity of financial data.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans for the finance system.
  • Support annual audit and reporting procedures and produce various regular and ad hoc data extractions/reports.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of management and financial reporting.
  • Take requirements from the finance team and key members of the organization, and build or facilitate the build of necessary reporting requirements and/or structures.

Requirements:

  • At least five years post-qualification experience or equivalent, ideally in an international environment.
  • Demonstrate a broad range of skills across finance and systems.
  • Advanced user of Excel.
  • SQL database scripts and SQL report writing experience (e.g., SQL Server Reporting Services, PowerBI, and Crystal reporting).
  • Record of implementing improvements to processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Team player with ability to communicate and deliver training in an international setting.
  • Previous Business Analysis experience.
