Repairs Surveyor

We are proud to be partnering with a reputable Housing Association who are looking to take on two Repairs Surveyors on a permanent basis that can interview and start within the coming weeks.
These will be a full-time position based in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with 1 day per week hybrid working. The salary for this role is up to £55,000 per annum dependant on experience.
The successful candidate will have access to their own vehicle and hold a full UK driver's license.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect housing stock and building works, prepare specifications; compile tender/contract documentation to deliver repairs and void works
- Carry out pre and post inspections
- Work with contractors to utilise the budget for maintenance effectively and project manage customer requests
- Proactively communicate with customers, internal or external, in line with agreed processes
- Provide technical support and advice to repair advisors and administrators
- Progress, manage and communicate to all internal and external customers in relation to complaints, MP enquiries, EHO compliant and Legal disrepairs
- Work with the Administration Team to organise workloads and effectively manage communication
- Experience of scheduling building / planned maintenance works and contract administration
- Experience of communicating with service users, staff and other agencies
- Must have a formal qualification e.g HNC/HND/CIOB
- Knowledge of housing maintenance, repair specifications, diagnosing defects and remedial works
- A strong knowledge of social housing management
- Skills in housing / property management systems (Northgate or similar)
- Hybrid working
- Flexible working days
- 35 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
