Role Overview

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for developing initial budgets and site commencement budgets for designated projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Valuation Management: Conduct quarterly assessments and complete material 'cost to complete' evaluations for each project under your supervision.
  • Sub-Contract Management: Generate sub-contract payments and final accounts, ensuring all documentation is duly signed by the respective sub-contractors.
  • Order Processing: Create sub-contract orders, ensuring they receive authorization from the designated representative, along with all required documentation to adhere to Group Commercial Policy.
  • Site Measurements: Perform on-site measurements and evaluate payments to contractors accordingly.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend and actively contribute to various meetings, including pre-order discussions, quarterly valuation reviews, and project assessments with senior management, construction teams, and external contractors.
  • Sub-Contractor Liaison: Oversee all sub-contract orders on-site, engaging with sub-contractors as necessary.
  • Specification Maintenance: Uphold trade specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Customer Liaison: Price customer variations and collaborate with the sales department as needed.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the Professional Fees Budget effectively.
  • Material Procurement: Assist with material purchasing when required.
  • Support for Estimator: Provide assistance to the Estimator and/or Commercial Manager with take-offs for land evaluations when necessary.
