Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled NHS Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic team of adult neurosurgical specialist nurses. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neurosurgery and a keen interest in supporting patients' journeys with neurovascular conditions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement specialist nursing care programs for patients with neurovascular conditions.
- Provide expert nursing advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with consultant neurosurgeons and allied health care professionals to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in research projects and present at multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care programs to improve patient care.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse educated to degree level or willingness to undertake.
- Post-registration qualification in specialty.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Advanced communication skills/counselling qualification or willingness to undertake.
- Advanced clinical assessment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Research module.
- Masters degree.
Desirable Experience:
- Significant relevant experience in the specialty and ability to demonstrate expert nursing skills.
Additional Requirements:
- To act in a professional manner at all times in accordance with NMC Code of Conduct.
- Capable of developing liaisons with other practice areas/academic institutions.
