Position Overview

  • Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and seek further clarification when necessary.
  • Underwrite profitable accounts in accordance with established business objectives.
  • Adhere to all underwriting protocols as outlined in the Underwriting Manual.
  • Secure approval for transactions that exceed authorized limits or do not conform to rating criteria.
  • Ensure the precision and compliance of underwriting documentation with industry standards.
  • Foster and sustain relationships with brokers and clients to enhance business prospects.
  • Identify and utilize cross-selling opportunities through knowledge of clients and the company.
  • Perform peer reviews to guarantee compliance with underwriting standards.
  • Oversee aggregations of joint venture interests and assist the Chief Underwriting Officer in formulating business strategies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Underwriter/Broker with advanced class expertise.
  • Familiarity with market processes and terminology.
  • Understanding of claims management to inform underwriting choices.
