About the Role:
Tetra Tech is seeking a talented Ecologist to join our team in the East Midlands as a Team Leader. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for leading and developing the East Midlands team, providing support to the ecology management team with business development activities across the UK, and contributing to a diverse project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the East Midlands team, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Support the ecology management team with business development activities, including leading on, supporting with, and coordinating the technical elements of bids, tenders, and framework opportunities.
- Contribute to a diverse project portfolio, working closely with our Environmental Managers and Bid Support Team.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues, identifying opportunities to add value to bids, business development, and projects.
- Work collaboratively with other teams, including Planners, Archaeologists, Landscape Architects, Masterplanners, and Engineers, to deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of managing people and projects of varying scales.
- Confident and competent ecologist with a passion for achieving the best environmental outcomes on projects.
- Ability to draw on professional network to add value to bids, business development, and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
