The Role:

We are seeking a talented Team Leader to join our Ecology team in the East Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will lead and develop the East Midlands team, providing support to the ecology management team with business development activities across the UK. You will work closely with our Environmental Managers and Bid Support Team to deliver high-quality projects and bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the East Midlands team, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Support the ecology management team with business development activities, including leading on, supporting with, and coordinating the technical elements of bids, tenders, and framework opportunities.
  • Work closely with our Environmental Managers and Bid Support Team to deliver high-quality projects and bids.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues, identifying opportunities to add value to bids, business development, and projects.
  • Contribute to the development of well-rounded ecologists who can talk about all stages of a project, offering extensive internal and external training and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of managing people and projects of varying scales.
  • Confident and competent ecologist with a passion to achieve the best environmental outcomes on projects.
  • Ability to draw on professional network to add value to bids, business development, and projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
