Job Title: Contracts Manager - Commercial Fit-Out

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our client, a reputable family-run Fit-Out Contractor based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Site Managers and reporting directly to the Managing Directors.

About the Role

The Contracts Manager will be involved in a minimum of 3 projects at one time, based across the South East. The role will involve overall responsibility for the delivery of projects, including calculating prime costs, dealing with valuations and payment notices, and maintaining schedules of quantities and pricing them for the prime cost budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Site Managers to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Travel to sites across the South of England to oversee project progress
  • Calculate prime costs and prepare estimates of all costs, including sub-contractors and materials
  • Deal with valuations and payment notices to ensure timely payment
  • Maintain schedules of quantities and price them for the prime cost budget
  • Prepare detailed cost budget plans and share with the site team
  • Work closely with the supply chain and clients to provide market-leading technical expertise
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience as a Contracts Manager
  • Preferably a carpentry and joinery background
  • Ambitious and driven with excellent client-facing skills
