Credit Review Specialist

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - SMBC Group is seeking a highly skilled Credit Review Specialist to join our team. As a Credit Review Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of credit applications and providing assurance to management that the grading applied to each entity is appropriate and Bank procedures have been followed.
Key Responsibilities- Review Credit Applications: Review assigned credit applications to ensure accuracy of the Obligor as well as Borrower's Category (if applicable).
- Discuss Issues and Clarifications: Discuss issues found and raise questions with Front Office person in charge when clarifications are required to complete the credit reviews.
- Agree on Findings and Recommendations: Discuss and agree with the Credit Review Partner Findings and Recommendations that need to be raised.
- Submit Reviews for Approval: Submit reviews including Recommendations and Other Findings to Credit Review Partner for approval.
- Follow-up and Closure: Undertake the follow-up and closure of any Recommendations raised.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Complete any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Credit Review Partner including Self-Assessment Classification Review or DCF Review.
- Deputise for Credit Review Partner: Deputise for Credit Review Partner in attending Special Credit Review (SCR) meetings as observer; arranging and chairing periodic meetings with stakeholders.
- Participate in Onsite Audits: Take part in ADIA's FO Onsite audits.
- Credit Experience: Credit experience in corporate banking, gained in major European or global banks, is essential to demonstrate a good understanding of large and global corporate credits.
- Knowledge and Skills: Good knowledge in corporate banking products and sound credit analysis skills including good accounting knowledge are essential.
- Communication and Writing Skills: Good communication and excellent written skills, specifically concise writing, are essential to efficiently complete reviews, prepare reports / document findings and communicate with key stakeholders and ADCR management.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is essential in order to perform the review work; also, ability to interpret and document findings including identifying trends.
- IT Literacy: High level of IT literacy.
- Education and Qualifications: Degree level Education &/or relevant professional qualifications.
