About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Dreadnought PMO Risk and Opportunity team at BAE Systems. As a Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in analyzing and mitigating risks associated with the design and delivery of the Dreadnought Programme's boats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored Project Management practices to ensure effective risk management.
  • Supervise and guide team members, providing technical direction and guidance to ensure high-quality work.
  • Coach and develop team members, contributing to performance management and ensuring the team's overall success.
  • Manage documentation to ensure quality and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Oversee governance and control processes, maintaining a robust reporting structure and ensuring timely reviews.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of Project Management principles, tools, and techniques, as well as basic knowledge of Commercial and Finance functions.
  • Ability to resolve complex project-related issues and guide others in solving problems.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to persuade and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and problem-solve, guided by policies, procedures, and business plans.
  • Ability to analyze project management data, summarize, and synthesize information for strategic and tactical reporting.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Applied Risk Management (ARM) database.
