Join Our Team as a Numeracy Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Numeracy Lead to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Numeracy Lead, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing tailored maths curriculums for our pupils, ensuring they receive the best possible education and support.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for maths education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality learning experiences. You will be responsible for leading classroom activities, monitoring and recording progress, and working closely with pupils to help them achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maths curriculums that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils
  • Lead classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning
  • Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes
  • Work closely with pupils to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Support team members with delivery of maths across the school
Requirements
  • Ability to teach maths to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills)
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience when working with neurodiverse pupils
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Driving licence (for transporting pupils)
  • Genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs
