Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Psychology graduate to join our team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at a highly regarded primary school in Harrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience in the education sector and work with students with special educational needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide additional support to students with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and within the classroom. They will help students engage in their lessons and learning, encourage interaction, and support children with reading, writing, and their work. The Graduate Teaching Assistant will also keep track of pupil progress and liaise with the class teacher and school SENCO to update on progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs
  • Support students in the classroom and during lessons
  • Help students engage in their learning and encourage interaction
  • Support children with reading, writing, and their work
  • Keep track of pupil progress and update the class teacher and school SENCO
Requirements:
  • Recent graduate or in their final year of studying
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build relationships with students and staff
