Advanced Clinical Research Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Clinical Research Practitioner to join our team at West Kent Primary Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Work in our Same Day Access Hub, seeing patients for urgent on-the-day issues, and collaborate with the PCN team of GP supervisors and Paramedic Practitioners.
- Participate in cross-cover with the Frailty Visiting Team, visiting patients who are housebound for urgent on-the-day issues.
- Deliver safe and high-quality care as part of a multi-disciplinary team, coordinating the planning and delivery of care to ensure patients and carers or relatives are involved where required.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in practice premises or their own homes who require medical attention and/or refer to appropriate agencies.
- Maintain effective communication with the primary care team and external stakeholders.
The postholder has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable adults and children. When adults or children and/or their carers use primary care services, it is essential that all adult and child protection concerns are both recognised and acted on appropriately.
Professional DevelopmentThe successful candidate will be responsible for their own learning and performance, participating in clinical supervision and acting as a positive role model. They will contribute to the development of local guidelines, protocols, and standards, and maintain effective communication with those responsible for the overall commissioning and procurement process.
Research and Quality ImprovementThe Advanced Clinical Research Practitioner will critically engage in research activity and use evidence-based strategies to improve and enhance the quality of patient care. They will participate in clinical governance activity, contribute to the improvement in quality of health outcomes through audit, risk management, and the Quality and Outcomes Framework, and collect data for audit purposes.
