About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Young's, a leading hospitality company. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food is served to our guests.
  • Lead and develop a team of chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent service.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and deliver new menus and daily specials, driving sales and growth through engagement with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Manage kitchen staff rotas, training, and health and safety, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Develop and implement effective controls to maintain high standards of food quality and labour efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to drive sales and growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for producing high-quality food.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
