Position Overview

Woodland Group is seeking a Finance Support Specialist to become a part of our dynamic team. This role will be based at our central office and will report directly to the Financial Controller. The Finance Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the Management Accounts team by adhering to established protocols and guidelines. The position involves communication with vendors and various external offices within the Woodland Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing daily transactions
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Analyzing accounts
  • Providing business assistance
  • Updating cash flow statements
  • Conducting month-end analyses
  • Managing ad hoc purchase ledger tasks

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in an accounting role, preferably in a high-volume transaction setting.
  • Proficient in advanced MS Excel functionalities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and key stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and challenges.
  • Proactive in identifying process improvements and implementing them.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for success and a commitment to creating a positive workplace.
