Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Captains Close Primary School. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a teacher to provide care and encouragement to children and young people with disabilities or special educational needs.
  • Support pupils in participating in activities and liaise with parents/carers and other professionals as necessary.
  • Help prepare and maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with the teacher's lesson plans.
  • Prepare and utilize ICT resources to support pupils' learning.
  • Participate in educational visits and off-site activities to support the full engagement of designated pupils.
Requirements
  • NVQ 2 in Support Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a formal setting.
  • Knowledge of child protection and health and safety procedures.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
