Senior Project Manager - Stabilisers and Naval Steering Gear

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the overall success of a project, ensuring compliance with Kongsberg Maritime strategies. This role contributes to the development of the company's strategic goals and supports the tendering process, delivery, and lifecycle of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project execution strategies in conjunction with the Sales Team
  • Identify and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure efficient resource utilisation and development of people within the Project Management function
  • Establish and maintain effective project organisations to ensure successful project execution
  • Drive project execution in accordance with company standards, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budgets

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support tender meetings and pre-bid reviews to achieve best results for the company
  • Contribute to the categorization of projects based on their risk profile
  • Approve project budgets, goals, and strategy for each contract
  • Establish and sign project charters to empower project managers to meet or exceed budget targets, on-time delivery targets, and follow company guidelines

Requirements:

  • Project and programme management experience
  • Working within the marine industry with classification societies
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Budget management and human resource balancing experience
  • Proven track record of leading project delivery to quality, cost, and schedule
